Gulf Shores has renewed the ban on alcohol on beaches during spring break.

The ban is in effect just during spring break and seeks to help curb the out-of-control alcohol induced partying that has fueled to disorderly conduct, fights and even sexual assault.

While there is a zero-tolerance policy for drinking on any of the 32 miles of Gulf Shores beaches, college kids of legal age are still free to imbibe within the city limits over spring break.
